How Migrate While Active works
Prepare target system
A new target system is set up, creating the foundation for data transfer between the primary and secondary systems.
Transfer data
The relevant data is transferred from the primary system to the secondary system. This gradually prepares the new target system for the subsequent switch-over.
Switch-over
After the data transfer, the switch-over to the new system takes place. The previously established mirroring provides the basis for the switch-over from the existing to the target system.
